Families Resort on the West Coast

Daftö Resort is located on the seafront just 5 km from the small border town Strömstad. Daftö is known for its popular children's activities and for their many pirates. Daftö is open all year round and in the middle of July when it is fully booked there are about 3000 people staying with us every day.

We are 16 full-time employees and during the summer there are about 65 additional emplyees working at Daftö.

We sell vacation, accommodation and conference. Daftö Resort offers many housing options. There are

• 130 cottages with a total of 550 beds.
• Bed & breakfast and cottage hotel.
• 650 camping lots.
• Four service buildings.
• In 2008 we built a modern conference center where we can accommodate conference groups of up to 60 people.
  
  

History

Stromstad as a vacation place began to develop in the 50's. Farmers with farmyards that were near the sea began to lease land for vacationing guests. In 1962 there was a gentleman named Milton who was permited to engage a campsite at the farm Dafter 1:3 and Milton Camping was founded.

Daftö Resort is a family company founded in 1974 and was then called Daftö Camping. The company has over the years evolved from being a simple campsite with dry toilet and cold showers to now be an open year round resort with facilities such as tiled toilet facilities, restaurant, shop, outdoor pool and conference center.

The facility has been renamed twice: in 1995 to Daftö FerieCenter and 2009 to Daftö Resort. Today the company is owned and operated by Ulf Kempe, Mette and together with their daughters Mia, Lena and Anna.
